About SafeBrowsingCheck
We are a small team of people who believe that everyone deserves to feel safe online โ regardless of their age or technical knowledge.
## Why We Created This Site
The internet can be a wonderful place โ but it can also be confusing and dangerous, especially if you are not sure what to look out for.
Scammers, hackers, and fake websites are increasingly targeting people who did not grow up with technology. Phishing emails look more convincing than ever. Fake phone calls impersonate banks and government agencies. And viruses can arrive through a single wrong click.
We created SafeBrowsingCheck because we were frustrated by how complicated most "security advice" is. Most guides are written for technical people. They use jargon, assume you already know a lot, and do not explain the basics.
**We wanted to do the opposite:** write guides that anyone can understand, in plain and simple English.
## Who We Write For
Our guides are written especially for people who:
- Did not grow up with the internet and are still learning
- Have been scammed before and want to prevent it from happening again
- Have family members they want to help protect online
- Want clear, practical advice without technical jargon
If you are 50 or older, you are exactly who we had in mind when we wrote every single article on this site.
## What We Cover
On SafeBrowsingCheck, you will find guides on:
- How to spot scam emails and fake websites
- How to create strong, safe passwords
- How to protect your personal information
- How to stay safe on social media
- Which security tools are actually worth using
- What to do if something goes wrong
All of our guides are **free to read**. We do not ask you to register or pay for anything.
## How We Make Money
Some of the links on our site are **affiliate links**. This means that if you click a link and buy a product, we may earn a small commission โ at no extra cost to you.
We only recommend products and services that we have personally reviewed and genuinely believe are useful. Our editorial opinions are always independent.
